Resistance and Obesity Epidemic

People with insulin resistance often make too much insulin in response to eating. They may also produce too much insulin in order to maintain normal blood sugar (blood glucose) levels. The body cannot excrete excess insulin made by the pancreas; excess insulin is stored as fat in the body. This is just one of the reasons why people with insulin resistance gain weight more easily than those who are not insulin resistant.
The body requires more insulin to metabolize (use as energy) carbohydrates than it does fat and protein. A low-calorie diet that is high in carbohydrates and unhealthy fats can trigger the pancreas to make too much insulin. People with insulin resistance can consume a normal amount of calories, but if calories are from foods that trigger too much insulin production, they can still gain weight from the excess insulin which is stored as fat. Also, leptin resistance makes you feel hungrier and signal the body to store more calories as fat.
storing hormone. It signals the body to store
energy as fat. We need to keep it low because in
the presence of insulin, the body cannot burn
fat, all fat burning hormones are canceled out
and the body goes into fat mode. If you trigger
fat-burning hormones without keeping the
fat-making hormones to a minimum, you won’t
lose any weight, since all fat burners are
reversed in the presence of
fat-making hormones.
On the other hand, in absence of insulin the
body begins to use fat as an energy source.
Let’s do an example. Let’s we assume that you ate one cookie that is 80 calories. You can run 1 mile and 80 calories is gone, but eating this one cookie will generate production of insulin that will stop fat burning for 3-4 days because insulin is a dominating hormone that will block, cancel production of fat burning hormones. The same thing happens with glass of wine or juice that will stop fat burning for some time. Also, MSG, chemicals that makes your food taste better (in 3000 packaged foods), will increase amount of insulin by 300% more. It is like to eat tons of sugar. It is in all fast food places also. When you combine sugar with meat like barbecue sauce, spaghetti meat balls, sweet and sour chicken, hamburger with a bun you will increase insulin by 200%.
