Thymex Description

Suggested use: 3-15/day

Thymex is made from beef thymus gland, as the name implies. Thymex supports the thymus gland with bovine thymus Cytosol extract, calcium, and magnesium. It extracts from bovine thymus tissue and promotes phagocytic and lymphatic activity, aids in decongesting lymphatic drainage, stimulates healing and defense mechanisms against bacterial and viral infections, stimulates general thymus immune response. Also, Calcium and Magnesium play a role in phagocytosis in which various types of white blood cells engulf and devour microscopic invaders. Studies show that calcium is necessary for the proper functioning of various white blood cells. Natural killer cells, lymphocytes, leukocytes, monocytes, and neutrophils are all at least partially dependent on extra-cellular calcium and magnesium.

Thymex is used in acute situation and chtonic situations also. Dosage can be used at higher levels in acute situations. Use 1-2 capsules every half-hour, gradually reducing to 1-2 every hour, and finally 6-15/day for at least one week following the acute stage. Thymex is used for short-term support of the immune system in this dosage. Normal dosage for long time is 1 tablet per meal.

Why Themex is so important?

Thymex helps kick-start the thymus gland, the center of the immune system, when antibody production is needed. The thymus is the key immune gland, especially in newborn infants and young children. It preprocesses T-lymphocytes after their origination and migration from bone marrow. In the thymus, the cells divide rapidly and develop diversity for reacting against different specific antigens.Thymus gland is involved in antibody production. It seeds the lymphatic tissue which then produces the antibodies. When you are exposed to bacteria, your thymus gland should immediately seed the lymphatic tissue to start the production of antibodies. It takes seven days to completely produce enough antibodies to destroy the bacteria.

This is why organ transplant patients only live seven days unless something is done to prevent the formation of antibodies. As we get older, our thymus gland tends to dry up. It is not as active as it was when we were younger. A child has a large thymus, often twice the size of an adult's. As people get older, they lose the ability to build antibodies. If a person has an infection that lasts more than seven days, you know that his antibody production is not at full strength.
