Soybean Lecithin Description

Suggested use: 3/day

Soybean Lecithin is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, supports the liver's ability to process fats, for elevated blood cholesterol, arteriosclerosis, gallbladder symptoms, joint and muscles disturbances. Chemically speaking, lecithin contains a lot of choline and a lot of phosphorous. This is useful if you have cholesterol deposits and also calcium deposits.

If you have cholesterol accumulation and a deficiency of calcium, as in osteoporosis or osteo-arthritis, you should not take this, because the phosphorous will further deplete the bones of calcium. The phosphorous causes a mobilization of the calcium out of the bones and tissues and into the fluid. You needs Choline instead. But if you want taking lecithin, buffer it by taking Calcium Lactate. This will prevent the mobilization of calcium out of the bones. A person with osteomyelitis can cause serious problems for himself by taking soybean lecithin. This is why it is a potentially dangerous item, particularly when sold in health food stores. A person with porous bones could buy some and, unknowingly, use it to his own detriment.
